ABOUT DR RABIN

BACKGROUND

In 2022, Dr. Rabin joined with Drs. Cliff Andrew, Merrill Ansher, Stephen Grill, Jason Hawley and David Li to form Neurology Consultants, a division of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians. 

 

He specializes in the evaluation and management of patients with neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and neuropathies. Dr. Rabin is board certified in clinical neurophysiology and performs nerve conduction studies and EMGs in his office. 

He has an outpatient practice in general neurology as well, focusing on multiple sclerosis, dementia and sports neurology. 

 

Dr. Rabin completed his residency in Neurology and fellowship in Neuromuscular Diseases and Clinical Neurophysiology at Johns Hopkins in 1994. In the clinic and in the laboratory he worked with Drs. Donald Price and David Cornblath on studies of motor neuron diseases. He joined the Neurology Department at Sinai Hospital in 1994, where he served as the Neurology Division Director for his last six years there. In 2003 he opened his neurology practice at Greenspring Station. 

Dr. Rabin is the neurology consultant for the Baltimore Ravens. He has been honored as
a Top Doctor by Baltimore Magazine for many years as well as by Super Doctors, Guide
to Americas Top Physicians and Money magazine. He has been featured in Life Magazine and on the Discovery Channel,
WJZ and PBS Health News. 

Born in Miami, Florida, Dr. Rabin earned
a bachelor's degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He continued his studies in neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration with Dr. Seymour Benzer at the California Institute of Technology before returning to Miami to obtain his medical degree from the University of Miami. 

Dr. Rabin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading and running and has completed 20 full marathons.
